Thailand Trip

In the middle of July, Chris went to Thailand for a Christian Surfers Asia, Australia Leaders conference.

For our cultural night our Thailand contacts thought it would
be fun to watch a Muy Thai boxing match. It was pretty intense.

We're bringing Jesus to the surfing world. Austral-Asia represent!!

Christian Surfers International had their first Austral-Asia national leaders conference in July in Thailand. The countries represented were Thailand, Indonesia, Japan, Sri Lanka, Australia and I was there representing Taiwan.
It was such a refreshing time to meet other people doing surf ministry and have fellowship with each other.
I learned very quickly on this trip that Australians love to play pranks on people all the time. I felt like I had to watch my back constantly around these guys.
But aside from all the fun, amazing Thai food, and good waves, we had great meetings everyday discussing what surfing ministry looks like in Asia because we are such a diverse region. Religiously, economically and of course culturally. It was a time of sharing our hearts, encouraging each other and connecting to work together in the future to see how to best bring the gospel to surfers in such a diverse region.
