In May, we invited the local church here to invite the youth that they work with to learn how to surf! Many of the youth are at-risk kids, non-believers. We got them out in the water, having fun and catching waves.
After being in the water we gathered everyone on the beach and a friend on staff with the SBS, shared her testimony of once being suicidal and how Jesus gave her hope. Some of the girls that came had shared afterwards that they also had thoughts of suicide. It was so great to see that they can hear the hope that Jesus brings to those that are hopeless. Some of these girls began to come to the church services on Sundays. Praise God He can use this small event to bring joy and hope!
