Prayer Time around the Island

Kaiya, Zack and Chris in Jinshan

Hualian

Saw a sign to the Promised Land...hmmmm

Our Christian Surfers Taiwan sticker on the top

More churches can be seen along the East Coast where there are more aboriginals

Cool pic of them in Jiao le Shui (beach in the South)
(forgot to take pics in Yilan...the largest surf community in Taiwan.  whoops!)

Our prayer trip around the Island was really good and encouraging!
One thing we felt we were to do was to make or bring a cross and leave it at each major surf spot in each county along the north, east, and south coast.
The first place we went was Jinshan beach, the one closest to our house.  We found ourselves sitting on a log worshiping and praying.  We realized that right in front of us was a lifeguard stand!  It isn't used much, but the symbol it represented was what we just started to pray - that we be like lifeguards "saving" lives.
All of a sudden there was a group of about 15-20 people came.  They were dressed a little funny and were doing some interesting moves on the beach until we heard a big shout!!!  They were yelling out the their sea god and to whatever idols they worshipped!  It was so crazy to see this happening right before our eyes!  Then our team member, Zack, felt to go on the lifeguard stand and yell out "Jesus"!  This was spiritual warfare in the physical!   Jesus already has won the war on the cross so there is no comparison in who wins the fight, but we just continued to pray that this beach be cleansed from "other" things.  We later heard from a friend that they've never seen that before and were probably a Daoist group.  Of all days, huh?
The rest of the trip was just as good where we continued to pray against the principalities and strongholds of each place and prayed God's presence would come.
We know we made a difference in the spiritual realm and we have faith that God will do the things on His heart to do here on this Island and with the surfers.
