Chris met a guy named Chris or CJ in his English class that spear fishes. Last Saturday night Chris joined him in one of his adventures, where he caught an octopus, 2 cuttlefish, a baby lobster, and this other fish (not sure what it's called). Chris would've joined him in the water, but CJ says its best to go out with a scuba tank because if you free dive, there are currents that can push you into fishing nets. And Taiwan has a ton of fishing nets around the coast. Chris was just happy to join CJ and his girlfriend, Verona, on this adventure, as well as to receive all the catching of the night!
CJ has a friend that owns a sushi restaurant nearby the spot they go night-diving, so some time after midnitght, after CJ caught the goods, his friend prepared the cuttlefish for them to eat. What a good friend!
The next day, Chris spent 2 hours cleaning, cutting up, and cooking the octopus! He prepared half of it Hawaiian style and the other half Korean style. We had so much of this octopus that we are still giving some away! It was and still is an octopus feast!
Oh, and by the way, we ate the lobster in 2 bites!
