Our district, Danshui of 'Taipei County', has just recently changed its name to 'New Taipei City'. With these changes many policies have also changed and YWAM began to have major visa difficulties.
Our family's visa expired Dec 31, 2010 and usually every year we get it renewed for one more year. Unfortunately, they weren't giving it to us and in even asking for a 30 day extension to work things out was not looking good.
On Dec 29th, 2 days before our visa expired, our family was looking to leaving the country and coming back on a 30 day visa. But this would've meant that we would lose our health insurance and drivers license, not to mention we'd have to keep leaving the country every 30 days until this visa situation was all sorted out!
Many prayer requests were sent out and many, probably thousands of people were praying for YWAM Danshui. Praise God! He answered our prayers!!! On the afternoon of the 29th, we got our 30 day extension and then during these 30 days we were able to get the 1 yr visa!
The process of renewing our visas has gotten a little more difficult, but the important thing is we got it. And God is always faithful every step of the way.
Much thanks to our Taiwanese staff and our leadership for their hard work. Much thanks to you guys that have prayed for us. Much thanks to God.
