This Chinese New Year we had planned on joining our pastors family in Tainan (down south) for a real Taiwanese CNY...unfortunately, we didn't know just how bad the traffic was on this island!!! We were on our way down, and just stuck, for hours....we barely got past the city, which is only 1/2hr away! With 2 little ones, and Jayden with a low fever from teething, we thought it best to turn back home. We were so sad to not go, but thankful to be out of that traffic!
We did get to participate in our kindergarten's hot pot and karaoke celebration of CNY, so that was very fun! We also learned that some of their customs, like bowing to the elder, is very similar to the Korean culture. There's definitely so much more to learn about this beautiful culture and beautiful people.
