Island to Island

This past month, we invited some YWAM friends (from Taoyuan) to come and throw a one hour presentation to two Elementary schools here in Jinshan, one of which we volunteer in. Both times have been a huge blessing for the Taiwanese students and teachers with this super fun and educational performance.

Island dance worship to God

Several of these YWAMers are from the islands (Tonga / Samoa), so they were able to share a few cultural dances with these kids.  Everyone in the room, including the teachers were wide-eyed and in awe since this was the first time they even had foreigners performing at their school!  Everyone enjoyed their beautiful music and dance!

Team Xtreme

These YWAMers have also been involved with Team Xtreme (check out http://www.teamxtremeintl.com/) and so was also able to bring their strength and muscles, all pointing to the glory of God!

The first school they went to the principal is a Christian, so they were able to share quite a bit about God and sin, etc.  But this second school (the one we volunteer in) had told us not to have them share about God or anything religious.  We told the team this, but they still talked about how God made each of us very special and how we get our strength from HIM.  Amen! Even a few of the songs were worship songs!  The team did it in such a way that it was more of a very positive motivational message that no one was offended by these things at all! The response was great and even the principal and teachers want them to come back!  Praise God!
