Our time in Cambodia

Eliah's parents have been caretakers of their churches orphanage in Cambodia for 6 years now.  And finally we've had the privilege to go and meet the 39 kids and 6 staff there.
The first week was great, we got to play with the kids and see our children make lots of new best friends.  We helped set up a bible study craft time and an English hour.  We also got to help with organizing the office/storage space and even painted the outside walls of the orphanage.
The second week was a different story.  We all basically got pretty sick, first Chris with a cold, and then Eliah and all 3 kids with some kind of food poisoning.  From vomiting, diarrhea, and Kaiya and Jayden on IV for 3 days, it was frustrating to be in Cambodia and not be able to spend that time with El's parents and the kids at the orphanage.  But thankfully by Christmas, we were able to be a part of the big Christmas party!!!  There was song, dance, skits and presents!  Definitely the best time we had there, to see the kids worshiping our Savior and full of joy in getting presents.  The last few days we got to spend more quality time with Eliah's parents and her cousin from Korea.  We had a wonderful time and it was so great to see all that Eliah's parents have been doing over these years, investing in these children's lives.
